Join us for a concert showcasing the masterworks of Mozart and Brahms and a dazzling performance of the first movement of Lalo's Cello Concerto! Mozart's overture to his opera - The Magic Flute is a remarkable piece. Following a solemn introduction punctuated by the brass and timpani, the overture’s main part takes wing with an animated fugue. The overture wraps up with a rousing finale, the perfect way to kick off one of Mozart's most recognizable operas. The first movement of Lalo's Cello Concerto features a virtuosic part for solo cello emphasized by defiant outbursts by the orchestra. Will Savage, our Youth Soloist Competition winner, will electrify the audience with his incredible musicality and technique!
